Dear Partner,
Greetings in the Name of Jesus. Thank you for your partnership and for all the sacrifices you make and continue to make to ensure that Freshdew stays on air reaching millions with the undiluted Word of God in times and seasons such as the world is experiencing now.
10 For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
Hebrews 6:10 NKJV
10 God is fair, and he will remember all the work you have done. He will remember that you showed your love to him by helping his people and that you continue to help them.
Hebrews 6:10 Easy-to-Read Version
Thank you for just being there with us on this exciting journey of raising disciples to the glory of God. That is truly what we are called to do – raise disciples as we teach the Word. Thank you for buying into the vision of Freshdew and running with it.
If we are raising disciples then what role is the local church, that is the church you attend, the churches our viewers attend, meant to play?
The local church is one of the most strategic gifts of the Father to the Body of Christ. The New Testament we read is predominantly letters of Apostle Paul to local churches and to pastors. That should tell you that the victory of every believer is tied to his positioning and revelation of the local church. Unfortunately to many, the local church is just a social club at best. To others it is just a franchise. Many believers change local churches like their underwear and others choose local churches based on location, comfort, and proximity.
The value of the local church to you can be found in asking this question? What then is the main purpose of the local church? Evangelism or discipleship?
Although evangelism should be an active part of every local church and every church that has no outreach expressions will die slowly, evangelism is still not the primary purpose of the local church. Its purpose is not just to win converts, but to raise disciples. That is truly the Great Commission given to us by our Lord Jesus Christ.
18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.
19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
Matt 28:18-20 NKJV
11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,
12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.
Ephesians 4:11-12 NKJV
32 “So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.”
Acts 20:32 NKJV
The local church is meant to be the primary custodian / distributor of the Word of God for the Body of Christ. A local church that will raise disciples who will manifest the Word of God must be able to understand and strike a healthy position in her role in both discipleship and evangelism.
Thanks to you Leslie, Freshdew continues to provide fresh inspiration and direction to countless souls. Some souls are thirstier than others often times as a result of how little they are fed and discipled by their local churches. That is how critical our ministry is. That is where we come in. We are often a life support system to viewers who are unable (for reasons ranging from inertia, courage, ignorance, pressure, lack of availability and so on) to locate a good Bible believing church that is focused on teaching the Word and raising disciples. Some have never developed a taste for the undiluted Word and through Freshdew their spiritual taste buds begin to develop a taste for the undiluted Word. Some others have been Christians for a very long time but have never really grown beyond babyhood and are now carnal Christians with nothing to show for their spiritual age.
12 You have had enough time that by now you should be teachers. But you need someone to teach you again the first lessons of God’s teaching. You still need the teaching that is like milk. You are not ready for solid food.
13 Anyone who lives on milk is still a baby and is not able to understand much about living right.
14 But solid food is for people who have grown up. From their experience they have learned to see the difference between good and evil.
Hebrews 5:12-14 Easy-to-Read Version
12 For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food.
13 For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe.
14 But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
Hebrews 5:12-14 NKJV
As our viewers mature, all the reasons within their control not to enjoy the gift of a good Bible believing church begin to fall by the wayside and some of them eventually locate a good church and continue the process of discipleship. Hallelujah! That is our vision, that is our passion, that is our partnership!
2 Let my teaching drop as the rain, my speech distill as the dew, as raindrops on the tender herb, and as showers on the grass.
Deuteronomy 32:2 NKJV
Our partnership is all about bringing fresh inspiration and direction as the dew of heaven as we mature God’s children and raise disciples to His glory.
2 Then the Lord answered me and said: “Write the vision and make it plain on tablets,
That he may run who reads it.
3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
Habakkuk 2:2-3 NKJV
I hope I have done what the Scripture enjoins us to do as we are gearing up for another season of more running with the vision to greater heights. There is more ground to conquer and we must see afar off in order to stretch ourselves and reach out to it. Please enjoy my gift to you – My Bigness All Laid Out For You – a prophecy in psalm that was delivered in our local church in June this year. It is very apt and relevant to us on Freshdew. Please click here to download it.
