Dear Partner,
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year coming up in about 11 days!! So much has happened to each one of us in 2018 and we are full of testimonies and gratitude to God.?
Now we should be focused on two things – making sure we glean everything God has in store for us in 2018 as the year is not yet over!?
11 You crown the year with Your goodness, and Your paths drip with abundance.?
Psalms 65:11 NKJV
Secondly, we should ramp up our expectations for 2019 as that is going to be the best year of our lives, certainly better than 2018.
18 But the path of the just is like the shining sun, that shines ever brighter unto the perfect day.?
Proverbs 4:18 NKJV
Isn’t God good to us??
I remember one night about a decade ago when I was meditating on the Word of God after watching the last fifteen minutes of the Argentina and Nigeria Olympic finals match with my husband. Nigeria, after playing so very hard, walked away with the SILVER medal and Argentina won a well-deserved GOLD medal. As I lay there thinking of the Word I had been refreshed with all week (I had been attending a Word Convention with my family), the Spirit of God began to speak to my heart and this is what He said,
“Look at this, do you realize that the Argentina players who sat on the bench and never played this match will also receive GOLD medals exactly the same as the exhausted ones on the Team who played the entire 90 minutes? They will all receive GOLD medals and the Nigerian players who played so hard on the pitch will go away with SILVER medals. IT IS NOT HOW HARD YOU WORK BUT WHICH TEAM YOU ARE ON. Those on the winning team go away with the gold sometimes without breaking a sweat. Well, be reassured, Nkechi, that you are on the winning Team. While you sat on the bench, Jesus took care of the entire match, won the victory and He’s calling you to join Him in getting the GOLD.?Hallelujah!”
“Tell this to your Partners on Freshdew as well. Tell them they are on the WINNING TEAM with respect to their Partnership as well. For every victory, every milestone reached by Freshdew you will call them to join you in raking in the MEDALS.?Hallelujah! You are on the winning Team so expect GOLD in every area of your life…”
Wow! [Name], I remember this was very early that morning but I was so energized and excited that I couldn’t sleep. I wrote it down in my journal and I’ve held on to that revelation all these years, and I feel so overwhelmed to be chosen to be on the WINNING TEAM!
As He spoke to my heart and I felt this way, I saw myself on the field playing on the side that eventually won the GOLD and that was a cool feeling. However, I was totally overwhelmed when it came to my notice?that MY PLACE ON THE TEAM WAS NOT ON THE FIELD BUT ON THE BENCH! My Big Brother, JESUS, is an eleven-in-one Team and He played the match by Himself,?won the GOLD for us all. All He needs me to do is shout and praise from the bench and then walk behind Him as He steps up the podium to collect the GOLD.
10 For it was fitting for Him, for whom are all things and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.
11 For both He who sanctifies and those who are being sanctified are all of one, for which reason He is not ashamed to call them brethren.?
Hebrews 2:10-12 NKJV
Do you see it? Do you see it??Selah!?(Pause here and meditate!) Don’t think you have gotten it because when you really do get it – it will completely revolutionize your approach to your walk with God and your walk of faith. I have been meditating over and over on the awesomeness of my position on this winning Team where more than the Olympics GOLD is at stake.
This position is, otherwise, called the FAVOUR of God.?The FAVOUR of GOD – where it seems unfair. I mean, is it not unfair to the Nigerians that some Argentina benchwarmers (I speak as a Nigerian now!) should get the GOLD and they are coming home with the SILVER??Do those Argentina benchwarmers deserve the GOLD? No, but they have it anyway! What do we expect those bench Argentina players to do? To?refuse the GOLD and say, “No, my conscience does not let me take this.?I want to exchange with the Nigerian players who played?” Ha! Ha!? Of course not, they will take it and even rejoice in the presence of the Nigerians – meanwhile they never touched the ball!
This season is one in which we remember and celebrate the favour of God made available to us.
26 Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth,
27 to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin’s name was Mary.
28 And having come in, the angel said to her, “Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!” ?
Luke 1:26-28 NKJV
Mary was favored of God. She was not the only virgin in the city of Nazareth of Galilee. Why was she chosen? Simply because the favour of God chose to choose her. Not because of anything she did to deserve the position of giving birth to the baby, Jesus.
Don’t ever let anyone tell you that you are not qualified and you do not deserve the FAVOUR of GOD. They are right, you don’t deserve it but you sure can receive it. So, increase your capacity to receive as you meditate on these truths and remain eternally grateful to the LORD GOD.
As my pastor, Pastor Charles often declared: “FAVOR is not FAIR!?And who am I not to receive what my Father has chosen to give to me.”
?
24 Will you not possess whatever Chemosh your god gives you to possess? So whatever the Lord our God takes possession of before us, we will possess.?
Judges 11:24 NKJV
I never touched the ball but I am wearing the GOLD in my health, I am wearing the GOLD in my wealth, I am wearing the GOLD in my family relationships, I am teaching my children to wear the GOLD.?I am a GOLD MEDALIST who never touched the ball because I belong to the winning Team and my Big Brother played the game – and so do you!
So [Name], God be praised this season and always. I wish you an abundance of the favour of God manifested in your life. Expect it, receive it, celebrate it. Please enjoy one of the classics of my pastor, Pastor Charles Omofomah –?The Waves Of Favour (Part 1)?by clicking?here.

Ecclesiastes 9:11 NKJV
