Dear Partner,
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I believe that all is well with you and all that you set your hand to prospers.
What a wonderful month August has been for us on Freshdew. It seems like from one month to the next, Jehovah our “Over-Do” God does exceedingly abundantly above all that we can ask, think or imagine.
This month, I finished my classic teaching: Another Economic System. Such a depth and wealth of revelation the Holy Spirit poured out in this series. To think that when I first taught this series on Freshdew in the year 2009 it was only 9 parts and now in 2020, it was taught in 40 parts and I really could have gone on teaching! The unction from above was just flowing and I am grateful for His grace. So many testimonies have been unfolding from these truths in this economic system that God set up for us. Yes, I agree, we need it in a book format. We will continue to push ourselves by His grace to serve the kingdom with the graces He has deposited here. Partner, if you missed the series, I encourage you to buy the resources by following this link on the e-store.
In this letter, I want to share some thoughts still pertaining to your increase at these times and seasons. It is from a teaching which was taught by my father in the Lord, Pastor Charles. It is a life-changing lesson from an easily overlooked teacher. The teacher is an ant. Yes, an ant! Like A-N-T, ant.
6 Go to the ant, you sluggard! Consider her ways and be wise,
7 Which, having no captain, Overseer or ruler,
8 Provides her supplies in the summer, And gathers her food in the harvest.
Proverbs 6:6-8 (NKJV)
In this verse, we see that the little ant has some amazing principles of increase. Increase means to grow in size, number, or wealth. We will look at four principles in summary and from the full message on the e-store: The Ant’s Principle For Increase you will enjoy the full teaching.
First Principle: YOU MUST HAVE FORESIGHT.
8 Prepares her food in the summer, and gathers her provision in the harvest.
Proverbs 6:8 (NAS)
8 They labour hard all summer, gathering food for the winter.
Proverbs 6:8 (NLTB)
25 The ants are a people not strong, yet they prepare their meat in the summer;
Proverbs 30:25 (KJV)
Foresight helps you to plan ahead and keeps you ahead. The ants start early to plan ahead. It is their way of preparation.
• If you will increase in your business, you must be a planner – have foresight.
• If you will increase in your marriage, you must prepare yourself even while you are yet single.
• If you will increase in your ministry, you must be a planner.
10 If you faint in the day of adversity,
Your strength is small.
Proverbs 24:10 (NKJV)
So prepare for the day of adversity with foresight by building up your strength, and when it comes, you will not faint!
When “adversity” hits a drum and nothing is in it, nothing comes out, but if the drum had been filled beforehand with water, water is what will come out of it.
Second Principle: YOU MUST DEVELOP A STRATEGY THAT WORKS.
25 The ants are a people not strong, Yet they prepare their food in the summer;
Proverbs 30:25 (NKJV)
Strategy: The peculiar way in which you do something.
It is known that the way the ants work is in troops. That particular strategy may not work for another animal.
Discover and develop a strategy that works! You’ve got to think and use your head.
Strategy does two things:
• Strategy takes care of your deficiency/inadequacy.
25 The ants are a people not strong, Yet they prepare their food in the summer;
Proverbs 30:25 (NKJV)
They are not strong, yet they make progress because they have found the strategy that works for them.
Partner, in what area of your life do you feel inadequate? There is a divine strategy for you.
• Strategy gives you an advantage.
Your strategy gives you an advantage over the competition (enemy)
4 Then Samson went and caught three hundred foxes; and he took torches, turned the foxes tail to tail, and put a torch between each pair of tails.
5 When he had set the torches on fire, he let the foxes go into the standing grain of the Philistines, and burned up both the shocks and the standing grain, as well as the vineyards and olive groves.
6 Then the Philistines said, “Who has done this?”
And they answered, “Samson, the son-in-law of the Timnite, because he has taken his wife and given her to his companion.” So the Philistines came up and burned her and her father with fire.
7 Samson said to them, “Since you would do a thing like this, I will surely take revenge on you, and after that I will cease.”
8 So he attacked them hip and thigh with a great slaughter; then he went down and dwelt in the cleft of the rock of Etam.
Judges 15:4-8 (NKJV)
Samson did exploits and defeated the enemy because he had a strategy.
Third Principle: YOU MUST RECOGNISE THE POWER OF SELF-MOTIVATION.
7 Which, having no captain, Overseer or ruler,
Proverbs 6:7 NKJV
To be self-motivated is to be naturally enterprising, motivated by inherent energy, enthusiasm, ambition, etc., without external impetus.
7 Even though they have no prince, governor, or ruler to make them work,
Proverbs 6:7 (NLTB)
If you will enjoy increase and progress, you should not wait for anyone to scream at you and make you work.
6 Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;
Ephesians 6:6 (KJV)
We should not work to be men-pleasers. Partner, are you a men-pleaser? For some believers, they only work when their bosses are around to see them. Some only pray when Pastor is around to see them pray.
For the Christian, self-motivation comes from the Word of God. In the Word, you find the faith you need and with that faith you can please God, the God of your increase.
Fourth Principle: YOU MUST RECOGNISE THE SEASONS.
8 Provides her supplies in the summer, And gathers her food in the harvest.
Proverbs 6:6-8 (NKJV)
The ant recognizes the seasons and makes optimum use of them. To be like the ant, you must understand that the God who is a God of seasons will relate to you in seasons.
3 To everything there is a season,
A time for every purpose under heaven:
Ecclesiastes 3:1 (NKJV)
11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.
Ecclesiastes 3:11 (NKJV)
In His time [season]. The beauty of anything is revealed in its season. The glory of anything is revealed in its seasons.
17 Blessed are you, O land, when your king is the son of nobles,
And your princes feast at the proper time —
For strength and not for drunkenness!
Ecclesiastes 10:17 (NKJV)
17 Blessed are you, O land whose king is of noble birth and whose princes eat at a proper time– for strength and not for drunkenness.
Ecclesiastes 10:17 (NIV)
Right seasons reveal strength.
• The strength of your glory
• The strength of your purpose
If you recognize the seasons, you will be able to take advantage of them and know just what to do – because no season lasts forever.
Partner, are these not profound lessons from a tiny little animal? Next time you see an ant crawling on your floor or wall, even if you have to smash it dead, do it with respect!!
