Dear Partner,
Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
How are you and yours? I believe your walk with God and your dance with the Holy Spirit has been getting better and deeper. Glory be to God! There has been a SHIFT and the SHIFT is here and now.
This remains our year of Maturity, Momentum and Manifestations for us in the Circle of Partnership. We have been looking at maturity and momentum, and last month, we explored one evil that opposes momentum which is called inertia. My prayer is that inertia and procrastination are now in your past and your momentum is on the increase!
One important link between those three “M” words is that when Maturity engages Momentum, Manifestations are the end result. What a glorious end result. Divine manifestations!
What does it mean to manifest? It means to make clear or obvious to the eye or mind: to display or show (a quality or feeling) by one’s acts or appearance; demonstrate: to be evidence of; prove.
In the Greek, it is the word: phaneroo which according to the Strong’s Concordance, means to render apparent (literally or figuratively): to appear, manifestly declare, (make) manifest (forth), shew (self). From a word meaning to shine, to lighten.
A manifestation is an event, action, or object that clearly shows or embodies something abstract or theoretical.
We see several Greek words in the Bible all pointing towards the idea that manifestations are clearly and visibly seen in the lives of those they occur to.
7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all:
1 Corinthians 12:7 NKJV
1Therefore, since we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we do not lose heart.
2 But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness nor handling the word of God deceitfully, but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.
2 Corinthians 4:1-2 NKJV
Phanerosis (fan-er’-o-sis); exhibition, i.e. (figuratively) expression, (by extension) a bestowment: manifestation.
From phaneros; open to sight, visible, manifest” (the root phan—, signifying “shining,”)
[Vine’s]
80 So the child grew and became strong in spirit, and was in the deserts till the day of his manifestation to Israel.
Luke 1:80 NKJV
Anadeixis (an-ad’-ike-sis); (the act of) exhibition: shewing.
19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
Romans 8:19 KJV
Apokalupsis (ap-ok-al’-oop-sis); disclosure: appearing, coming, lighten, manifestation, be revealed, revelation.
So, no invisible manifestations here. Partner the time is now, and now is the season for the manifestation of things that the grace of God has freely deposited in your life. Yes, now is your kairos season.
If you consider a manifestation as a big deal and big building, then it is important to understand that any big building or structure is held up by pillars. A pillar means a person or thing regarded as reliably providing essential support for something. Without a pillar, a structure cannot stand.
28 Then Samson called to the Lord, saying, “O Lord God, remember me, I pray! Strengthen me, I pray, just this once, O God, that I may with one blow take vengeance on the Philistines for my two eyes!”
29 And Samson took hold of the two middle pillars which supported the temple, and he braced himself against them, one on his right and the other on his left.
30 Then Samson said, “Let me die with the Philistines!” And he pushed with all his might, and the temple fell on the lords and all the people who were in it. So the dead that he killed at his death were more than he had killed in his life.
Judges 16:28-30
Samson, even in his blinded state, knew to push on the pillars of the temple and the entire building collapsed. The temple had been held up by the pillars. That is how important pillars are.
There are many pillars that need to be present in your life in order to keep the big building of your divine manifestation secure and sure. One of them is the Presence of God.
Presence (dic) is defined as a person or thing that exists or is present in a place but is not seen. Another word for presence is atmosphere. Atmosphere (dic) is the pervading tone or mood of a place, situation, or creative work.
“Atmosphere is a surrounding influence, or a surrounding environment, the aura of a place”. – Pastor Soska Forbes
14 And believers were increasingly added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and women,
15 so that they brought the sick out into the streets and laid them on beds and couches, that at least the shadow of Peter passing by might fall on some of them.
16 Also a multitude gathered from the surrounding cities to Jerusalem, bringing sick people and those who were tormented by unclean spirits, and they were all healed.
Acts 5:14-16 NKJV
We see here that atmosphere and presence are spiritual. The shadow of Peter was literally his presence as people were probably lying on both sides of the road and scientifically, you cannot simultaneously cast a shadow on both sides of your body.
How do you control the presence around you? This is an important question to ask because when you understand that divine manifestations need a presence or atmosphere to occur you will make a decision to control the presence around you.
13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus
Acts 4:13 NKJV
Presence is created by what you know, what you think, what you say, what you do, who you know, who you hang around with. In other words, presence is created by influence.
We see that Peter and John had been influenced by their being in the company of Jesus and this was manifested in the boldness with which they spoke. It overwhelmed their natural inadequacies. They were uneducated, which is the Greek word agrammatos which means unlearned, illiterate and unlettered. They were also untrained, which is the Greek word idiotes which means a rude and ignorant ignoramus! Wow! The impact of the right atmosphere they had allowed around them changed their destiny for God.
What presence do you allow around you? Presence goes beyond the company you keep. Simple things such as music, literature, television, and social media create the atmosphere that is influencing you. As a child of God, you can read the presence or atmosphere of a place and conform to it or leave the place. It is often in your hands to do so. You can also intentionally create or change the presence around you.
This month, I charge you to take charge of your atmosphere and take charge of your life. Divine manifestations that conform to the will of God for your life will be your portion.
