In December 2006, I had an accident, where my pelvis was fractured and my left hip was dislocated. I was rushed to a nearby hospital and the doctors tried all they could to stabilize me. Pastor Nkechi had heard of what happened and she prayed with me saying, “Because you are my partner, the anointing that is upon my life would go with you and God will give you a 100% recovery that would astound your doctors. You have peace nothing missing, nothing broken.” She told me to lay my hands on my hips and she prayed for me. Later that day I was moved to another hospital to get more professional help. There the doctor tried his best, but he said he couldn’t handle my case. I was sent to a third hospital where we were quite positive that something more successful was going to happen. Pastor Nkechi came in a number of times and on each occasion she repeated what she had said before. Pastor Charles spoke with me on phone and said I had speedy recovery and peace – nothing missing, and nothing broken. I made those words my confession throughout the period and said them out loud to myself.
By the third week I was scheduled for some kind of operation that would not require an open reduction. That day I was so full of faith that the process to my 100% recovery was starting. For some strange reason, the equipment to be used failed. All attempts were not successful. Later on the chief surgeon apologized to me that they had to refer me for an open reduction surgery. I was then referred to another hospital. At that point I was very discouraged and couldn’t understand that if God had promised me a successful recovery, why things were going this way. The next day, I watched Freshdew and Pastor Nkechi said, “God has a good plan for you.” I still couldn’t relate with the goodness of God in the light of my situation which seemed helpless. Later Pastor Nkechi called me and said, “I hope you know that what God is giving you is a 100% recovery and nothing less.”
Eventually I went for the surgery and the doctor dashed my hopes. He said after reading the report I came with and seeing my x-rays that I stayed too long before coming and he didn’t think he could help me. He said different complications had set in and it was impossible for anybody to do anything. I cried like I’d never cried in all my life. That evening I listened to the message, “From Panic to Peace,” and I knew that all I had to hold on to at that point was the Word from God. That was the only way I was going to get out of the mess. Two days after that, I had the surgery and by the time I saw the Doctor, he said he was very surprised my surgery went very well and my hip was perfectly in place. I thank God for perfecting His Word in my life and for granting me a 100% recovery. God is indeed awesome!
